Thanks all belt is on and running fine. That diagram is deceptive it was the one I found, but the idler and tensioner are in a different place. Still it gave me a better idea of the route than I had.

I had not connected the MAP sensor plug correctly...

I had not connected the MAP sensor plug correctly it was loose and even though I had changed the intercooler O-rings they was not seated properly. So they just put right what I had done wrong.:duh:

Midlands Nano meet

the external temp reading on the dash was fine when I started out, then it dropped to -9.5 as I carried on it started to rise slowly.

Parked up and on return the reading was normal, about 20 miles...

Well its all fixed, it was the under bonnet pump that was failing. I changed that and put a new fuel filter on and no more misfire.

Now I have a new problem black smoke on acceleration.

I got a 75 tourer a few weeks ago, very high mileage 234,000 and a bit dirty but sounded fine.

Went away for a few days and put £40 of diesel in and that returned 448 miles now if my calculation...
