Yes, I'd say lower engine mount too. Not expensive, and a reasonably easy fix. Mine was completely detached (inner bush from outer case) makes heck of a difference. There's a great 'how to' as well.

I'd say drop links too, only confirmed by the symptoms you describe. If it clunks taking up the drive then rear wishbone bushes or lower engine mount.

It's held in by the items you removed to get it...

It's held in by the items you removed to get it out. The seals keep it in around the edges, no glue required. Bend as little as possible when getting it back in the car.

Never rule out the (think it's 5) rear window clips, they've leaked on all my 75's. You can reach up to them inside the boot and also see them when lifting the rubber window seal.

Worse than that, it won't move. The buttons on the shoulders are pushed fully down and stuck there, solid. Is there a way out of this? Just don't know where to start.

Was a FBH ever fitted as std to the Facelift? My 54 has one but it doesn't work, I haven't found the dosing pump yet after looking where it should be. The car hasn't been 'modded' so it's a mystery.
