Yes 5mm is the tapping drill size for standard 6mm thread. Tip, if you're tapping into something hard, drill the 5mm hole then just offer your 13/64 in a couple of mm to help start the taper tap.

The coolant level will always rise as it gets...
The coolant level will always rise as it gets hot, so the true level can only be taken when cold. So you are probably losing coolant whilst driving when the system is pressurized and this is not...
