There are already plenty of products out that do that for water on car bodies. They aren't oil repellent though, at least not so much. They are basically like a highly durable rain-x for paint (rain-x is rubbish). They are basically nano scale chemically bonding ceramics that become the outermost layer of your cars paint.

Their other advantage is that they are harder than the paint, so protect it from scratches. Im using one right now and the car basically cleans itself and is resistant to the occasional bad washing practice..

The issue with these super coatings as in the video is that they dont leave the car with a nice finish, so that has to be worked on.

You can get the current generation ceramic coatings for paint, plastic, glass and textiles. Perfect for stain proofing the interior.
