That's OK Phil, it's getting easier now but we still have down moments. My wife was very close to my parents as well, she is from the far east and they took her under their wing.

Apart from being there with both my parents I was there myself a while ago with a burst appendix. I went to the docs earlier in the day with stomach pains, she said it was a bug. That afternoon I was instantaneously in crippling pain, like somebody flicked a switch. Ging phoned the doc, stupid ***** said it was stomach cramps, I'm literally screaming in pain in the background and she's telling Ging it's stomach cramps. First time I have ever told anyone to phone an ambulance for me, into A&E stoned on morphine, tests, scans etc. They called the surgeon in at 3am to take the appendix out, a week in hospital on IV antibiotics etc. Said it was the worst appendix they had seen in a long time, the instantaneously pain was the appendix actually bursting.
