No one is arguing about the physics, its too basic.
But the difference between a metal tube and a plastic tube that feeds the air into the engine, is likely to be almost zero.
No doubt it looks great, and is a nice bit of work, but in terms of performance, its going to make no difference to anything.
I would imagine heatsoak into the pipe won't affect the inlet temps that much, as its not forced induction.
For me though the original rubber and plastic inlet looks great, but then I'm OCD about keeping things OEM.
