Over the years ivy has grown all over one side of the back fence and destroyed a couple of panels and a post, and as we are open house for Mother's Day it had to be removed and everything tidied up.
My own fault, as I have repeatedly put off doing anything about it. As a last resort I even swore blind I saw 2 crested newts and half a dozen greater horseshoe bats nesting there but she was having none of it.

Mrs MB is very patient, but I don't think she was too impressed when I mentioned titivating the 214 ready for it's test.
When asked why I still have this old banger, I replied I like it better than the new bangers
