My 2002 75 has the trip computer option on screen, but my original 1999 T-reg 75 (with message centre) did not display it on the TV menu screen.
It had the original Mark II Rover nav computer BTW, not the later Mark III.
So it would appear earlier cars were never intended to have it, I say this cos about a year ago, I helped "SD1too" switch his old Mark II sat nav to a Mark III, and as soon as we powered it up, for a couple of seconds it did display the trip computer option, but then it disappeared, and has not shown up since.
I don't know whether it's a T4 thing or has something to do with the earlier video modules.
All I know is that when I first connected the replacement Mark III into my car for testing, the trip computer option worked a treat - but didn't when put in his older car?!
