Sorry to say, but it seems that all your measurements are wrong when looking on your pictures. The measurements shall be read from the "0" line on the "slider" against the scale on the caliper, not from the edge on the "slider". You are basically 3-3,5mm out on your values. A plastic caliper should also be banned, a steel ruler would even do a better job. A proper steel caliper will give you accurate readings in 0.05-0.1mm increments:
