In my original post on the subject (
https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/s...d.php?t=277968) I stated that I'd taped over a split in the rear window seal which I assumed was allowing water into the boot and accumulating in the area near the offside rear light, but it's now back to square one.
After a weekend of persistent rain, with some snow thrown in for good measure, I opened the boot this morning to find a 0.5cm deep puddle below what looks like some sort of air vent.
As far as possible I've checked everywhere above the area and can find no sign of where water is getting in. It's not coming from the light seal and it's not coming from the waist trim fasteners. I also managed to squeeze my hand into the holes in the horizontal metal panel in which the boot courtesy light is housed to feel round the window clips and it's dry in there as well, which pretty much rules out the rear window as the culprit.
Other than the air vent being the issue (although I really can't see how it's possible for water to reach it) I've no idea where the leak might be. Any pointers on what else to check will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew
