Totally agree had one for 8 years, imported her with 16000km on clock had nearly 300000km when she was w/o. Overlanded around Europe, rescued buses ambulances and even a gritter in heavy snow. Apart from replacing the head at 140000 km’s she sailed through every mot. Used to out perform Land Rovers off road. Only down side was the articulation of the suspension, but you just needed to make allowances..

on the downside mpg is pants.
25-26mpg at a steady 50 in the summer, 18-22 mpg round the doors.
Mine had a factory fitted 120litre long range tank cost a fortune to fill up lol.
