took the rear spoiler off to get at the number plate lights, I know it had been off in the past as there's some paperwork for a previous repair, so it came off quite easily as the double sided tape wasn't doing anything.
The circuit board had previously been solder so suspect this has failed again, unfortunately the whole lamp assembly fell to bits so have ordered a complete new lamp assembly.
Just need to order some new double sided tape for when I refit the spoiler.
