Default At the scrap yard to day

Went to the scrap yard today to get two Audi A4 door lights, I want to put them into my door cards.

Turns out they had a Rover 75. Managed to pick up an intact battery cover
and the trim that goes around the rear screen on a saloon.

The rear upper arms looked good and I had a poke around, seemed solid. As I did not have tools for working on the 75 I went home got some and returned. Even with a groundsheet on the ground I got filthy and I mean filthy removing the upper arms, large washers for rear sub frame and trailing arm bolts.

The only places on the upper arms I could not see or poke had rusted thru, disappointed with time wasted and cheesed of with being so dirty.

So, check the drain holes in your upper arms, make sure water does not pool, also clean away the dirt.
