Had a spare hour this afternoon so decided to have a mess about at the air filter on the 2.5 v6. Took filter out to save because it was only lightly dusty. Took the filter box off and discovered that there was a load of oil in the rubber hose that connects the filter box to the air inlet. Cleaned it out, and while it was still off had a look under the inlet/exhaust pipes for water. Ahh there was a bit so pushed some rag down into it and soaked it up. If there is any when I look again, or if I start it up again and it ends up in their again, it will be new thermostat time. It’s funny because I have been looking around to find different suppliers from Germany who could supply us with some, perhaps, reliable spare parts along with DMGRS. The company I have sussed out for thermostats is called SKV. Guaranteed 4 years I think.
