Weather was kind, so I tackled a job which has irritated me since the car had the rear bumper professionally repainted.........the wheelarch edge had not been keyed very well, and as a result had chipped and flaked quite badly.
So I rubbed it down, cleaned with thinners on a rag, masked up on the radius of the bumper edge, and first etch primer, second base coat, third and fourth lacquer.
After the masking was removed, there was a soft "edge" where old meets new........a few hours later I compounded it with G3 and the blend is almost unnoticeable.
Tomorrow I will waxoyle the wheelarch tubs, and replace the liners, and remove the masking from the suspension.....who knows, I might even drive it for a change !!!
It was nice to potter again, after my enforced house arrest of the past couple of days.
