My dad owned one of the Austin "big" Sevens in 1952. seen "For Sale" in episode 2. It's the first time I have ever seen our old car in any of these country tales of the time.

It wasn't very roomy, but took mum, dad, and my sister and I, we were 4 and 8 years old respectively, from Manchester to Anglesey, through the hills of North Wales, (no A55 then), my sister and I taking the spare space between the cases, loaded on to the back seat. The "boot" would only hold the spare wheel, tool roll and jack.
Whilst not quite as grand as the Rover, seeing the Austin still brings back memories.
