My definition of genuine, made by the manufacturer that made the item when rover were in business and supplied the item to rover, the item has sat on a shelf ever since.
My definition of oem, the company that made the item when rover were in business and supplied to rover but the item has been made since rover went bust.
My definition of pattern, made by a company that never made the part for rover, never supplied the part to rover.
Ask rimmers who made the item and when it was made. See which one of the three definitions i offer it fits to. Then you can decide if genuine and worth the extra over oem and pattern
