I got one of the SGS jacks and after two or three uses one of the retaining bolts fell out. They replaced it with another one but that one (which I still have) is either up or it's down! In other words, it does not have a controlled descent unless you are "super" careful and strong enough to grip the handle with both hands to "feather" it. I have seen a few complaints on other forums with the same problem.
