A couple of years back, a friend of mine bought an electric fan from Robert Dyas to help in the summer. When he realised there was a certain amount of "self assembly" required, he re-visited the store to explain that there had been some sort of misunderstanding. He said he was under the impression that he had purchased a fan, but had now discovered that he had in fact, seemingly enrolled in some sort of self assembly DIY class.
To be fair to Rober Dyas, after listening to his rant (all delivered in a very polite and calm manner, as was his style), they gave him a full refund and said he could keep the fan
!
