Ah yes, my apologies, I had forgotten about that little matter. I seem to be forgetting rather too much these days, must be something I ate.

I just happen to know a formidable solicitor who came to my rescue. The former owner of my car as it happens! His advice was guarded as one might expect and of course he was very pleased to help. A short but pointed note regarding specific points of law, and where to find them, together with the likelihood of costs, was followed by the threat being withdrawn. Oddly, lacking an apology.
