You need to know whether you have just the HK speakers or HK speakers plus an HK amp in the boot. If the HK amp is fitted, you will also have the sub speakers in the back parcel shelf.

HK speakers only - will just plug in and work. HK speakers and HK amp will also just plug in and work - except the HK amp and subs will not be working. I ran mine just like that for a month or two, until I got around to sorting out the HK amp plus subs - which I got back to full operation a couple of weeks ago. I documented the solution in the link below...

So - as you will need to run the antenna cable through the car, you might as well run the 8 speaker wires (4 x twisted pairs) through it at the same time for the above.

One modification which I forgot, which needs to be done when installing the basic DD system, is to link the purple/pink's and the purple/yellow wires in the dash behind the DD - that ensures your antenna amp has a proper feed as well as ensuring your HK amp has its correct power feeds. I have documented that part in the description linked to above.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
