When I was 12 I bought my first Iron Maiden single, Run To The Hills 1882. So was brought up on Iron Maiden with Bruce Dickinson, although Di'anno was perfect or there first album.
I have a rare T-shirt when they appeared at a local music club I knew in Norwich in 1992. The bar owner was a tour camera man. who'd been on tour with the band, new Steve Harris well.
They called themselves The Nodding Donkeys, so only those in the know, new about it. The Tour T-shirts had the theme of 'Eddie' strangling a business man's head. These had a purple donkies head on instead, as in Nodding Donkeys. With the copyright Iron Maiden writing.
