1st use on a focus the rivets holding the legs at the bottom snapped resulting in a collapsed axle stand.
The jack was left in position so not a disaster.
I have a yankee 3 tonne jack cost me about £80 well worth it nice & high.
For stands I use breeze blocks and some wood to protect the bodywork.
It's one of those items you shouldn't really skrimp on as it can cause damage or injury if it all goes wrong.
