mss and the other contributors to this thread, I too have just received excellent service from Rimmer's.
I was pleased to learn that goods are despatched on a Saturday morning so I placed my order at 9.30 am. The very friendly member of staff said that the company currently had 500 orders to fulfil and so would Tuesday delivery suit me. I said that I'd really appreciate Monday instead.
Two hours later I received an e-mail to say that my order had been despatched. It arrived this morning by Royal Mail first class delivery; a true 24 hour service! The cost of the postage was £3.48 so Rimmer's took only an additional 72p for the bubble wrap, the piece of hardboard to protect the paper gasket (
yes, really
) and the plastic bag (total delivery charge £4.20).
My invoice is marked: "Please ship as soon as possible". Now how is that for customer care? Well done Rimmer's!
