After some years of creating an environment of division by speaking to drivers like children; shouting; sarcasm etc, controllers at work are being sent on courses to learn how to communicate.
One of the least popular controllers took exception to the way I delivered some information. It was clear, concise and unambiguous.
However as I was 1: 20 minutes late for my break and needed to use the facilities; 2: Using my own telephone as their tools- radio- were defective, this information was delivered quickly and somewhat colder than usual.
Said controller the attempted to play the part of a victim by saying he didn't like the way I was speaking to him and that if he spoke to me like that, I'd report him.
He also said I was speaking to him like a child.
I refused to get into that so asked him what any of that has to do with the information I had given him. And then repeated the information.
He then hung up.
