If you follow the the Bonnet-Release to the firewall and pop off the plenum cover you should be able to see what I mean.

I found it, unfortunatly it's not big enough. The cable I'm trying to fit is 15mm in diameter. Looks like I will have to drill a new hole to feed the cable through.
Is firewall double skinned in the area that the bonnet release cable goes through? It looks to me that the entry from the engine bay is higher than the entry into the cabin from inside?
