Don’t worry unnecessarily, your instincts are working well in recognising kochloffels (been waiting for ages to use that word in the right context, thanks Atlan).
You’d think there would be a degree of encouragement rather than obvious vain attempts to tempt the unwary into traps. It’s supposed to be a club. Oh, the other meaning... All in the best possible intention, naturally.
