In my case, it will be used quite a lot & not just on our cars.
A lot of engines now have oil filter elements that are accessed from the top of the engine & even the M47R engine fitted to the R75 & ZT/ZT-T Diesel is accessed from the top, not underneath the vehicle.
On some Mercedes Benz engines (mainly Diesel), it is advised that the oil is not drained via the sump plug because they are prone to leaking afterwards, even with a new washer and/or new plug!
This advice came from main dealers (crazy I know).
