Yes, they would cost more, but price isn't the issue here. We need them to be a much closer copy of the original part.
Obviously, there are companies out there who are willing to make this stuff, they just need a bit more guidence.
I personally wouldn't care where the parts were manufacturered as long as they were of good quality.

But that 's just it quality is more than not often determined by exactly where parts are manufactured, how would you convince someone that a Pentax camera produced in Albania is as good as one produced in Japan, would you buy a Rolex made in Turkey or one made in Switzerland? ( personally I wouldn't buy a Rolex but you get the picture!).
We associate certain parts of the world with quality, and others with the opposite.
