Statins are notorious for muscle and joint pains. I've been on five different ones and they all had the same side effects, one was so bad I'd wake up in the morning like a 90 year old, hobbling around the house until I loosened up a bit. I'm now on Pravastatin which was heading the same way until I finally compromised with my GP and take it every other night. I don't wake up in the morning and run around the house like Linford Christie but on the other hand I don't have the same level of side effects.
