Cliff,
The throttle re-set procedure involving depressing the accelerator pedal five times applies only to the MEMS engine management fitted to the 1.8 engine. It does not apply to the KV6 Siemens system. Here's what RAVE says:
"The ECM does not require the 'closed throttle position' to be set. It will learn the closed throttle position over a short period of time and adapt itself to use this value."
