Hi Stefan,
If you used Engineering Carbon Products' brushes on your 3 speed motor then you'll have to wait a very long time before the "next time"!
(I renewed mine 57,000 miles ago and still going strong).
Personally, I prefer the 3 speed motor. It's quieter than the 2 speed and three stages of cooling is a better engineering solution in my opinion. The giant MGR fan blades also look more convincing to me than the razor clam blades on the Revotec.
