Hi all,

I wonder if someone could give me an idea of where to start looking on this one please?
My vehicle is a MKII 2.0Cdti.
Sometimes, when I press the brakes, the pedal is rock hard, no servo assistance. It seems to happen more when the vehicle is cold, but not always. I cant hear any "hissing" noises that would suggest a vacuum leak or anything like that.
If anyone could give me some pointers as to where to start looking for the problem or likely cause that would be great.
