Problem sorted. It was the little braded pipe that runs from the valve on the main hard plastic servo line to the head by the EGR, chaffed through.
I'm supprised I had any servo pressure at all!

At the moment it's cobbled together with a little pipe joiner from my aquarium, but it will be replaced as soon as I can get myself a new piece of pipe!

If you have an EGR bypass you can block it up the top where it comes from the solid vacuum pipe. All that hose goes to it the EGR actuator.
