If a Tesla battery costs £30,000 and has a lifespan of 8 years or 120,000 mile guarantee range, and a Trevor Jackon battery costs £5,000 and will need changing every 1,500 miles, you will need to change the battery at least 80 times in 8 years to do the equivalent, that's a cost of £400,000 in 8 years.
