Just checked the main plenum and it's bone dry and so doubt the ECU has had a bath.
She started first time again this morning and so have stuck half a bottle of Redex in the tank and given her a good blast down the motorway in 4th gear on the basis that it probably wont do any harm.
The injector leak back test may be beyond my limited skill set but I will have read up to see whats' involved. Both fuel pumps were changed by the previous owner about 6 yrs ago, however the car's now done 163K and so it's possible one may be playing up again.
