Anyone considering an X-type bucket really should google: "jaguar x type sill rust" and click on images, I hope you have a strong constitution though! The X-type really does have very poor corrosion resistance indeed...
Got a 56 plate 2.2 estate with 106k on with not a rust spot underneath or on the body except for a bubble under the rear hatch lock. My son has an 04 2l diesel X type with spaceship miles and again no rust so from personal experience I rate these X types.
