I have actually brought the V6 Connie down the auto box several times, just to see what kind of effect it has in slowing you down. It is effective but you have to be careful of the revs, and you have to press the button in each time you change gear.it is a bit like when I was at work driving a Volvo 8 wheeler rigid, two speed axle. Changing gear and flicking the two speed axle switch. If you have an auto, I would try it out before you need it.
