There was a rather expensive project which looked at installing CATOBAR on the QE class carriers. An angled flight deck as well as new catapult system would be required. It was deemed too expensive and would most likely have resulted in only on carrier being built and used.
So no navalised 'Phoons, F35Cs or less than useless French Rafael's.

Believe it or not, I used to have a pint with one of the team on that project. He confirmed to me that it was still doable at that particular stage of construction of the QE. If is was given the go ahead, those two carriers could have accommodated US naval attack groups (as we would not have the forces necessary).
