Morning folks, how is everyone?

Last evening I received a phone call from a Consultant Vascular surgeon NHS who wanted to discuss my query yesterday about the ultrasound scan of the aneurysm 3 weeks ago.

The NHS ultrasound scan said it was 4.2 cm and the private scan in London said it was 5.9 cm.

He explained the NHS scan only measured the top view at 4.2 and did not measure the length view as the side view was not in its abilities.

The CT scan measured both views width and length at 4.2 x 5.9 cm. The two different measurements now made sense.

He was okay about me going private but said if it doesn’t work out he will still be happy to keep me on his list and this includes monitoring the other aneurysm in the knee and do the ops if needed.

He felt given my age, I stood a reasonable chance of surviving the surgery.

How very kind of him to call, what a nice chap
