It does not matter about a warranty. There is a manufacturing fault, and in that case you Have I think 6-7 years where you have to prove that the item contains a manufacturing fault. In this case, there obviously is. Perhaps trading standards would be interested if the danger was pointed out to them. It’s criminal. It could also end up with people being killed.
