It does, you need to remove the inner part (two Torx screws) it has a recessed type clip/toggle as well but will come with a sharp pull.
You will need to pull the front ashtray and heater controls as well. On my car with double DIN radio it was easier to loosen the radio - no need to remove completely take off the facia of the heater controls and the switches below, then you will see how the ashtray comes out. It is all screws and toggles but quite simple when you look at it in logical sequence.
A sharp modelling knife will cut the hole in the glove box quite easily there is already the imprint of the aperture needed.
