Morning all, what’s the day looking like?
Tomorrow I am back in cardiology to have a device fitted to monitor my heart for 72 hours. They are looking to see if the heart is stable or not. They said when I was in A&E in resus, I was in 1st degree heart block which progressed to 2nd degree heart block by the time I was admitted into ICU. 13 ICU beds, each bed was in a cubicle and manned by a doctor and 2 nurses. My cubicle was next to the cardiac theatre and had I proceeded to stage 3 heart block they had me lined up for a pacemaker. Had I progressed to a heart attack they would have fitted a stent. Apparently their gold standard is to fit a stent within 90 minutes of a heart attack, saving a life.
What is everyone up to? Isn’t it great to see the spring photos? Roll on summer ….
