Me too. Be careful what you use. Many adhesives don't do the job and you end up with a sticky mess on the shelf. I used Araldite, some months ago, and it seems OK.
I made a bracket out of a plastic 'L' joint left over from an Ikea jobbie, glued it to the thick end of the light casing first, then when properly stuck, to the upper edge/roof (under the headlining. You can't see the bracket for the headlining and all seems well. It's part of a bigger and rather splendid modification which is secret at the moment but to be revealed soon.
