Last one of mine I had to fix (V6 75 Auto) was CERTAINLY a stretched compensator on the front cable piece, and the the same is true of my R75V8 waiting to be done using a Mini R53 one, before next spring's annual check. The adjustment is all used up. Agree though that drum filth can more often be a problem with autos because of the little use the handbrake gets in many cases.

Normally the cables get stretched because the owner doesn't know how to get over the problem.--Just simply keeps pulling the hand brake up until it's under his armpit.--

Self inflicted injury.----One of the R75s little foibles.--If you have the knowledge then the cables don't get stretched.
