I cant seem to compress the front springs enough to reassemble the front strut.
I have a pair of Draper spring compressors and can get about 220mm gap. The jaws would then close to grab the springs. I seem to think I need to grab one extra coil of the spring and so need compressors that can open to some 300mm.

For those that have compressed the front spring, what size are your compressors?

Any tips for compressing the springs?

I'm wondering if I can compress the spring and tie it off, undo the compressor and then reattach it to the next coil but I really don't like this idea.
