Sorry for the slow replies, busy at work! Painting the wheels myself isn't really an option, there's no way I could get in to all the little corners to clean it up properly before painting. They'll need blasting or dipping to take the existing finish off.
I'll contact the companies mentioned and see what they say. I'm not expecting it to be cheap, but it'd lift the appearance of the whole bike, the wheels really let it down. Hopefully below is a few photos of the wheels in their current state.
