they, if I recall were standard on a connoisseur at the beginning (or another variant), soon after becoming an option only(2000/2001?). There is something mentioned about them in the specs/project drive list (again if I recall). I believe this also means that there will be a BBUS alarm system fitted as opposed to the standard horn type, (but I may be incorrect making this assumption
).
They were fitted as standard with cars with factory fitted with Xenon, as this is a requirement for type approval, or I imagine they too would have remained an option too lol.
