Can you check everything is as it should be, the grinding sounds like something’s isn’t right. Is it like ABS activating that pulsing through the pedal feeling or more like a constant roughness as if the brakes maybe have something trapped in them type thing?
I would be inclined to strip and check the brakes first due to that grinding
