I've just been out to take some measurements and the top of the fins are 4 cm above the 'Max' marker. Now, looking at the photo, does the coolant level look 3.5 cms below the top of the fins to you? I'd guess it's between 0.5 and 1 cm below meaning that the tank is significantly overfilled.
So your claim that I am "nit-picking" is inaccurate and rather discourteous I have to say.
